Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate the building automation system to maintain a comfortable environment in the hospital.
Maintain equipment as assigned.
Accomplish service requests as assigned.
Perform minor electrical work, boiler water analyses and water treatment for safe operation.
Perform plant readings, water analyses and treatment, and respond to equipment casualties.
Maintain records as required by regulations and policy.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
As assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES
Basic equipment maintenance.
Read, write and speak English.
AGE-RELATED COMPETENCIES Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position.
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
RISK MANAGEMENT/QUALITY MANAGEMENT/SAFETY Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education – High school diploma or equivalent, vocational/trade school education preferred.
Work Experience – Three to five years in facility maintenance.
Training – Boiler operations, HVAC equipment operation and repair, or electrical equipment operation and repair.
License/Certification – N/A
ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
