Join the Office of Human Resources - HR Analyst Opportunity The Division of Administration/Office of Human Resources has a vacancy. This position will be filled in the Employee Relations unit.

Join the Division of Administration Office of Human Resources as a member of the Employee Relations team. This position operates in a high-volume environment and performs time-sensitive, mission-critical work that directly supports employees, supervisors, and agency leadership across multiple state entities. Accuracy, consistency, and professionalism are essential, as the work handled by this role has a direct impact on agency operations and compliance with state and federal requirements.

About the Employee Relations Team with the Office of Human Resources (OHR) at the Division of Administration (DOA) The Office of Human Resources supports a diverse group of agencies, each with unique missions, staffing needs, and workplace challenges. Our Employee Relations team administers and supports a wide range of processes, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, performance management, unemployment hearings, and other employee relations matters that require careful review, sound judgment, and consistent application of policy.

The team works closely with employees and managers throughout the Division of Administration, the Office of the Governor, BESE, the Public Defender Board, the Louisiana Tax Commission, and other supported agencies. The work is steady, detail-driven, and often time sensitive, requiring strong coordination and follow-through.

Three years of human resources experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR

A bachelor’s degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties

Help employees and supervisors understand FMLA rules, review paperwork, and track leave

Assist with ADA accommodation requests by collecting information and helping identify possible supports

Keep performance and conduct documentation organized and up to date

Help gather information and prepare files for unemployment claims

Track when employees become eligible for permanent status and send needed forms to supervisors

Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations records

Answer questions and provide guidance to employees and managers across multiple agencies

Assist the HR Manager and HR Specialist with reports, research, and improvements to processes

Position Specific Details Appointment Type:

This vacancy may be filled by hiring a new employee or by promoting a current permanent status classified employee. A permanent status employee may be required to serve a new probationary period in lieu of promotion.

Career Progression:

This position is part of a Career Progression Group and may be filled from this recruitment as a Human Resources Analyst A, Human Resources Analyst B, or Human Resources Analyst C.

Compensation:

This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) as follows:

Human Resources Analyst A: $1,394.40 biweekly

Human Resources Analyst B: $1,491.20 biweekly

This position also receives retention pay of $1.00 per hour for each hour worked.
