Our client in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist who can independently process payroll using Paycor. This role requires someone detail-oriented, dependable, and confident managing payroll from start to finish with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate has hands‑on Paycor experience and is comfortable stepping into a fast‑paced environment right away.

Key Responsibilities
Process weekly/biweekly payroll for employees through Paycor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain and update employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and deductions
Review and audit timesheets for completeness and compliance
Handle payroll‑related inquiries from employees in a professional and timely manner
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Generate payroll reports and support finance/HR with payroll data as needed
Assist with year‑end payroll tasks, including W‑2 preparation
Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive payroll information
Qualifications
2+ years of payroll processing experience using Paycor
Hands‑on Paycor experience required — must be able to run payroll independently
Knowledgeable in California payroll laws required
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, taxes, and compliance
High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and strong problem‑solving abilities
