STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Scope of Work
Prepare individual, trust, partnership, corporate, and S‑corp tax returns.
Build a strong research insight on tax issues to recommend strategies, complete specialized tasks, and become a trusted advisor to clients.
Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
Provide industry knowledge and expertise.
Work on confidential client matters meeting challenging, yet fulfilling, requirements and deadlines.
Build strong team relationships and satisfy other functions as needs arise.
Adhere to JHM’s defined processes and procedures including the firm's policy on privacy and client confidentiality.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required
0–3 years of public accounting experience preferred; CPA eligible preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Organizational and time‑management skills; ability to prioritize multiple assignments
Strong accounting skills required
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required
