Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer (APQP focus) to work in the Findlay, OH area.

The APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting all APQP activities to ensure successful product launches and continual improvement throughout the product lifecycle. This role serves as the key liaison between internal cross‑functional teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure that all quality planning, documentation, and validation requirements are completed on time and meet automotive industry standards (IATF 16949, PPAP, etc.). The position requires regular travel to customer and supplier sites to support program development, process validation, and launch readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate APQP activities for new product introductions, engineering changes, and process improvements.
Develop and maintain documentation related to APQP phases, including DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, process flow diagrams, and MSA studies.
Coordinate and conduct PPAP submissions in accordance with customer‑specific requirements.
Interface with customers to review quality requirements, product expectations, and program timelines.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with APQP and PPAP requirements; perform supplier audits and capability assessments as needed.
Monitor and report APQP project status, identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions.
Support process validation, capability studies, and launch readiness reviews at manufacturing facilities.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure robust process development and continuous improvement.
Participate in problem‑solving activities using 8D, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action methodologies.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams and suppliers on APQP procedures and requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of experience in automotive quality planning or manufacturing engineering, with a focus on APQP and PPAP processes.
Strong understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer‑specific requirements (Ford, GM, Stellantis, Toyota, etc.).
Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and 8D problem solving.
Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software tools.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including to customer and supplier sites (domestic and international).
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification.
Experience working directly with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Hands‑on experience with process audits and supplier development.
