Loan Servicing Specialist – Quality Assurance

Base Pay Range $60,000 – $70,000 per year

Job Description We are seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist that is responsible for the quality assurance of lending operations. This role ensures lending activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines, while identifying process gaps, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement. The specialist works closely with servicing, operations, and compliance teams to maintain high standards of loan servicing performance.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct quality assurance reviews of loan servicing activities, including payment processing, escrow administration, loan modifications, payoff processing, and account maintenance
Evaluate loan files, system entries, and servicing actions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, investor, and internal requirements
Identify errors, trends, and root causes of servicing issues and document findings clearly and consistently
Prepare quality assurance reports, scorecards, and metrics for management review
Recommend corrective actions, process improvements, and control enhancements to reduce risk and improve servicing quality
Partner with servicing and operations teams to provide feedback, guidance, and clarification on quality standards
Support audits, regulatory exams, and internal reviews by providing documentation and responding to findings
Assist with the development and maintenance of quality control procedures, checklists, and training materials
Stay current on regulatory changes, servicing guidelines, and industry best practices
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred)
2+ years of experience in loan servicing, lending operations, quality assurance, or compliance
Strong knowledge of loan servicing processes and lifecycle
Understanding of applicable lending regulations and investor guidelines
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Proficient in loan servicing systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience in quality control or audit functions within a financial institution
Familiarity with consumer lending, mortgage, or commercial loan servicing
Experience preparing QA reports and presenting findings to management
