A well‑established Tampa‑based civil litigation law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to join our dynamic and collaborative legal team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters from inception through resolution.
Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to inform case strategy.
Draft high‑quality pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and court filings.
Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Represent clients at hearings, inspections, mediations, and trial.
Actively participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
Stay current with changes in case law, procedural rules, and industry developments.
Collaborate with team members to ensure strategic alignment and case readiness.
Maintain accurate time records and meet billable hour requirements (minimum 150 hours/month).
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
At least 5 years of experience practicing personal injury law.
Must have tried a minimum of three cases.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Knowledge of insurance defense case law.
Demonstrated experience handling all phases of trial litigation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
Negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable client outcomes.
