About the Role
Arrowhead Transit is hiring a full‑time Transit Manager I to manage daily transit operations serving greater St. Louis County and the cities of Ely, Hibbing, and Virginia. This role provides oversight of staff, routes, budgets, and service delivery while ensuring compliance with federal and state transit requirements.
Responsibilities
Hire and supervise employees.
Schedule drivers and vehicles.
Manage county expense budgets.
Negotiate revenue contracts.
Maintain route manifests.
Complete required reports.
Support grant activities.
Work with community partners to develop transit services.
Perform dispatching and driving duties as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
CDL with passenger endorsement (training/testing provided).
Minimum of four years of supervisory experience.
Position Details This is a full‑time Level 3 position, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., based in Gilbert, MN.
Probationary wage (6 months): $30.89 per hour, with full benefits and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match.
