Quality Production Specialist (Entry level, Associate, or Mid-Level)

to join our team in

Kennedy Space Center, FL!

This position will be on 3rd shift.

Position Responsibilities Level 1

Observes validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.

Learns Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations.

Gathers data and participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans, products or processes.

Gain knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.

Learns the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.

Observes and seeks advice on obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.

Assists in the validation of configuration management and learns quality procedures and material review policies.

Performs internal replication of software to Company and regulatory standards and procedures.

Participates in audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.

Assists in the creation of basic reports and coordinates with parties responsible for internal and external distribution.

Works under close supervision.

Level 2

Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.

Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations, and processes.

Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans.

Applies basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.

Gathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.

Assists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.

Assists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for review.

Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolution.

Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated.

Verifies internal replication systems adhere to Company and regulatory standards and procedures. Creates airplane specific airborne software packages.

Conduct audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.

Assists in the creation of reports and coordinates with parties responsible for internal distribution.

Works under general supervision.

Level 3

Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.

Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations.

Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.

Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System.

Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent recurrence. Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution.

Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.

Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution.

Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies effectiveness to ensure completion. Reviews and approves quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.

Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures and material review policies to deliver the software products.

Develops software system processes to support changing industry standards.

Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements. Interprets industry standards and provides recommendations for implementation.

Creates analytical reports and coordinates with responsible parties for internal/external distribution.

Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

1+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment

1+ years of experience working in Non‑Conformance (NCR) processes

1+ years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS)

1+ years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Associate’s degree or higher

Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications and/or specifications

Experience working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment

Experience with regulatory requirements

Experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation

3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment

3+ years of experience working in Non‑Conformance (NCR) processes

3+ years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
