Job Overview As the full‑time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader's “go‑to” in developing and implementing the merchandising strategy for the store. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team into great merchants delivering AEO brand visual standards every day. Through your leadership, your team always nails floorset execution, rocks merchandising and marketing brand standards, and keeps the store “guest‑ready” through effective replenishment. Responsibilities
You have a passion for driving sales: As a key LOD (Leader on Duty), you are an expert at driving sales by maximizing fitting room and salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best‑in‑class guest experience. You contribute to the store’s overall financial success by analyzing reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and by helping develop short‑and‑long‑term business plans to drive key KPIs.
You are a merchandising innovator: You coach your team to deliver an outstanding guest experience by ensuring the store remains representative of AEO brand standards and by leading day‑to‑day merchandising, sell‑through adjustments and replenishment. You keep an eye on merchandising opportunities and act quickly to take advantage of them.
You are a people leader: You motivate and inspire your team through AEO’s core values, hold your team accountable to customer‑service standards on the salesfloor and in the fitting room, and model AEO leadership.
You recruit, hire and develop talent: You prioritize building a strong team that meets business needs, and you train and develop associates to maintain high service levels.
You foster teamwork: You provide ongoing performance feedback through real‑time coaching, team touch‑bases, development plans and performance reviews and celebrate outstanding performance.
You innovate operations: You help the team maintain visual standards across all zones and keep the fitting rooms guest‑ready and AEO‑compliant.
You maintain integrity: You ensure store safety and asset‑protection standards are upheld, follow AEO policies and procedures, and always do the right thing.
