Service Tech- Electrician
Service/Maintenance Electrician
$37‑45/hr (DOE) + Excellent Benefits!
South Easton, MA – Maintenance on existing large commercial accounts
What You’ll Be Doing
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility.
Climb ladders with material or tools, load wire reels (up to 215 lbs), lift lights into ceilings, dig trenches, and hold material while using screw guns or screwdrivers.
Install various kinds of wires, cable, and conduits in accordance with requirements.
Pull wires and attach wires to fish tape, keeping them free from kinks or abrasion.
Connect conductors to switches, receptacles, or appliances using proper methods of splicing, soldering, and taping.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools, locate the cause of a breakdown, and correct the problem.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and ensure compliance with codes.
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Experience with installation of cameras, motion detectors, and medical equipment is a plus.
What You Need To Bring To The Table
Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
Knowledge of the electrical code and the ability to research and retrieve information from the code book.
Ability to read, understand, analyze blueprints and schematic drawings.
Ability to follow directions and decipher technical information.
Knowledge of pipe bending, circuit wiring, feeders, services, fire alarm, wire pulling, underground, wiring electrical equipment.
Ability to plan and project weekly material and labor requirements.
Ability to work overtime.
Certification Requirements You Will Need
OSHA 10 certificate, or willingness to complete it.
Journeyman electrician license from MA.
Valid driver’s license.
GED or high school diploma.
