Position Summary Responsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Develops a team to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
Internal Service:
Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees. Monitors staffing levels, ensures training systems comply with JIB processes, and develops internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions. Inspires employees, treats them with respect and dignity, and regularly recognizes performance.
External Service:
Manages daily activities to achieve operational excellence. Provides an exceptional guest experience, maintains brand image, and resolves guest complaints promptly and professionally.
Sales & Profits:
Utilizes management tools to analyze performance, identify trends, and implement improvement plans. Focuses on increasing sales and profitability by applying the SPC and protecting the JIB brand, while monitoring costs and budget adherence.

Provides strong coaching and development, motivating employees toward growth.

Qualifications Education High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience • Internal Promote: Minimum 1+ year as Associate Manager and/or 2 years as First Assistant Manager; 100% certified in all workstations. • External Recruit: Minimum 3 years managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
At least 18 years old, must complete Restaurant Manager training and be ServSafe certified.
Proficient in English communication and basic math.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
Self‑starter, initiates responsibilities, and demonstrates integrity.
Proficient with personal computers and related software.
Valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle required for deposits and travel.
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk ~85–95% of shift; lift 10–65 lbs; operate equipment and drive vehicle.
Operate computer keyboard.
