Description
Purpose: Serves as the Berry Aviation-Afghanistan and Africa Business/Program Manager. Responsible for fully understanding and implementing the terms of the contract. Ensure compliance is maintained throughout the specified terms of the contract and is responsible for monitoring and reviewing all scheduling and operations of aircraft affected by the contract. Oversees aircraft use, crew scheduling and maintenance. Provides the government representative with any required reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop contract specific procedures
Recruit and retain qualified personnel for the project
Maintain morale of employees assigned to project
Maintain a database of qualified personnel for replacements and surge operations
Develop and implement employee and aircraft schedules
Plan and implement mobilization/demobilization
Assist with aircraft and airfield analysis
Assist with export licensing/controls
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer's key personnel (COTR and operations) by communicating verbally and written on a regular basis.
Organize and facilitate face to face on-site meetings with in country government key personnel as often as necessary
Develop metrics for assessing compliance with PWS
Ensure compliance with PWS
Prepare and submit contractually required reports
Monitor the operations to ensure aircraft reliability and customer satisfaction meets and/or exceeds contract requirements.
Communicate daily with Site Managers
Ensure each employee has met the contractual requirements of performing on each contract, i.e., security clearances, electronic country clearances, theater clearances, medical and training requirements, weapons qualifications, CACs and visas.
Liaise with the Facilities Security Officer to ensure security clearances are properly reported and updated.
Liaise with the Training department to develop and implement schedules for training for personnel on each contract.
Liaise with the Travel department to develop and implement travel schedules for personnel on each contract.
Process and approve payroll for all employees each pay period.
Process and approve expense reports for all employees each month.
QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Proven management experience in aviation management.
In-depth working knowledge of the contract acquisition process.
Skills to monitor and safe guard the contract stipulations for the customer while maximizing the profit for BAI.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Excellent customer service skills and customer focus.
Self-motivation and able to work without oversight or supervision.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED)
Bachelor's degree in aviation or related field of study.
PHYSICAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Office environment
Occasional travel
Must have the capability to obtain a secret security clearance.
