Compensation Range $33.00 - $42.90
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities Perform a variety of procedures requiring independent judgement and intuition in the utilization of ultrasonic equipment for the diagnosis of breast disease. Assist in all interventional procedures using breast ultrasound. Provide a written impression for all exams and document accurately and completely in MagView.
Essential Functions
Perform ultrasound imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Adjust equipment controls as needed to produce high quality images and prepare/present them, with other pertinent patient information, for timely interpretation.
Educate patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
Prepare room and patient specific to exam to be performed. Use an established work pattern to work efficiently and safely within an ultrasound environment. Review patient history and physician's orders.
Educate patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements. Adhere to safety policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in diagnostic medical sonography or related required or
Associate's degree and certificate in diagnostic medical sonography required
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Licenses and Certifications
Registered or registry eligible by the ARDMS upon hire required
Non-registered sonographers must obtain ARDMS Abdominal and OB/GYN certifications within 1 year
