Nobles seeks multifaceted educators who will contribute significantly to the life of the school in at least one non‑academic area (e.g., athletics, community service, admission, or performing arts) outside of the responsibilities of this position.
Position Summary
Nobles seeks a full‑time middle school science teacher to join our faculty in late August 2026. This is an opportunity to work within a dynamic, collaborative department whose members are passionate about teaching science, fostering inquiry‑based learning, and building meaningful relationships with students.
Teach two sections of 7th‑grade science and two sections of 8th‑grade science
Engage in ongoing professional development to strengthen classroom practice and curriculum design
Contribute to the life of the school through involvement in at least one non‑academic area (e.g., athletics, community service, admission, or performing arts)
Attend all‑school morning assembly
Attend faculty, division, department, and course team meetings
Serve as an advisor to 5–6 middle school students
Supervise one study hall per cycle
Chaperone one all‑school event and participate in two admission events annually
Attend designated middle school community events throughout the year
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of three years of teaching experience in science, preferably at the middle or secondary school level
Demonstrated passion for working with middle school students and understanding of their developmental needs
Commitment to hands‑on, inquiry‑based, and project‑based learning approaches
Strong collaborative mindset with commitment to curricular alignment across shared courses
Dedication to continuous professional learning and growth
Thorough understanding of and adherence to safe laboratory practices
