The role of the Administration Assistant for Futures is required to provide a professional administrative service. The Futures Department within the College encompasses Higher Education and Careers provision, supporting students in planning and preparing for their next steps beyond school.
Main areas of the role
To provide general administrative support to the Futures department. Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support during the processing of university application material. Support with office management including record-keeping of department meetings, minutes and accounts. Provide administration assistance to the Head of Futures and the Futures department leads such as Oxbridge, Medicine, International and Employability and Careers Lead. Overseeing department and general meeting bookings and scheduling Scheduling and management of Careers meeting 1-1s (Yr 11, November and Yr 12, Spring) with external providers and Futures staff. Providing administrative support for departmental events such as Careers Interviews, Oxbridge interviews, CV and Interview preparation, Higher Education and Gap Fair, ‘Launch’ talk series, Networking events as arranged by the Head of Futures and Careers Lead. Processing of Gap year scholarship applications and liaison with Marlburian Foundation Liaison with Admissions and the People Team to ensure Unifrog (Careers and University information platform) is up to date. Transcript management for pupils (international and UK), with support from specialists. Handling of telephone enquiries and management of general ‘Futures’ email enquiries. The above responsibilities are illustrative and the post holder will be expected to undertake duties as agreed in annual objectives and as may be reasonably allocated by the Head of Futures.
