Job Description The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156‑bed long‑term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky. It is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care.
We are looking for a self‑motivated, energetic Nurse Aide (State Registered I) who possesses the skills and desire to care for Kentucky’s Veterans. The ideal candidate will work within a team‑centered environment. We offer flexible scheduling, holidays, weekends, and shift premiums.
Responsibilities
Assists residents with personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, grooming, dental, oral, and nail care.
Assists residents with medical appointments and transports.
Assists residents with bowel and bladder functions.
Performs total physical care, assists with meals, and helps meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our Veterans.
This agency is prohibited from hiring employees with convictions identified in 906 KAR 1:190. A fingerprint‑supported national background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment.
*This position, in Hopkins County, has an approved Locality Premium of $6.23 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).*

Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
Working Conditions Employees may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions that require adherence to safety procedures. May occasionally encounter unpredictable patient/resident behavior.
