Shift 3pm-11:30pm.
Facility Thomson-Hood Veterans Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal hygiene such as bathing, dental and oral care, and hair and nail care.
Have an active status as a nurse aide on the KBN Nurse Aide Registry.
Assist residents with bowel and bladder functions by escorting to the bathroom, providing bedpan or portable commodes, checking and recording intake and output flow charts.
Assist with meals and nourishment for residents requiring assistance and restorative dining.
Perform total physical care to include assisting with meals, as well as helping to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our Veterans.
Measure and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respirations, height, as instructed.
Collect and label specimens for laboratory analysis.
Strong interpersonal skills.

Special Requirements Must possess current registration with the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry as administered by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and Kentucky Board of Nursing.
