This position will supervise 20–25 assembly staff at a given time. In addition to supervising direct reports, this position will work collaboratively with other supervisors during a shift.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan operations, utilization of skills and man‑hours, material and workflow to assure Quality and Delivery metrics are met.
Assign work, provide direction, develop a training plan, and assist employees in the performance of their work.
Ensure consistent use of safety devices and personal protective equipment (PPE), supervise departmental housekeeping, and maintain constant alertness for hazardous conditions and practices. Drive safety ideas and improvements.
Monitor and drive quality measures and implement continuous improvement efforts.
Provide information and collaborate with other internal groups to effect cost reduction, work simplification, production scheduling and manpower planning.
Participate in and coordinate programs related to employee communications, placement, training and development, orientation, quality, etc.
Promote positive employee relations through daily, open, and direct communications.
Ensure conformance with company policies, practices and work rules related to attendance, performance, etc.
