Deposit/Loan Operations Analyst Specialist

General Duties & Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and interpret correspondence related to account maintenance.

Ensure loan applications comply with governmental regulations by reviewing complex legal documents and regulatory requirements.

Perform quality control on new and existing loans using internal reports and loan documentation to verify data input and documents are accurate and in regulatory compliance.

Communicate professionally with clients and third parties through phone, email, and workflow tools.

Research and resolve internal and externally submitted account questions and problems.

Perform high risk task processing including maintenance on accounts with regulatory or monetary implications such as payment research corrections, credit bureau dispute research, Reg Z disputes, loan payoff processing, fee processing, and loan modifications.

Meet production standards for account servicing tasks such as completing account maintenance, processing loan payoff requests, processing paid loans, following up on insurance information, processing insurance on accounts, processing payments and payment exceptions, performing escrow analyses, preparing and executing annual escrow analyses, monitoring daily reports, performing quality review of mortgage and consumer loans, reconciling general ledger accounts, researching credit bureau disputes, making decisions on appropriate actions, performing various deposit processing tasks, processing account closure requests, disbursing funds, placing requested holds and stops, processing card-related requests, handling client correspondence, generating correspondence for customers, processing returned items, researching encoding errors, conducting large-dollar signature verifications and reviewing EARNS notifications.

Demonstrate a high level of proficiency with FIS and third‑party applications based on either loan operations or deposit operations responsibilities.

Maintain current internal procedure manuals and write drafts for changes.

Other related duties assigned as needed.

Education & Experience Senior role with demonstrated knowledge of deposit and lending procedures and regulatory requirements. Monitors workflow and conducts quality checks. Coaches and mentors team members. Makes recommendations for process improvements. May work on special tasks, projects, or issues. Works under limited supervision on the most projects. Typically requires eight or more years of demonstrated experience in a banking or financial services environment.
