The Maintenance Manager position is responsible for leading and managing the maintenance team through coordination of resources and activities for all maintenance functions in the plant. Provides the technical link between maintenance functions and production needs. Implements and drives continuous improvement processes. Ensures timely, safe, and high-quality work to meet established goals and objectives of the company.
Position Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and tool & die shop employees
Budget, direct, and manage all projects ensuring all requirements are met
Manage and direct the maintenance functions within the plant with minimum cost and high reliability
Develop and implement procedures for prevention, prediction, and improvement within maintenance
Responsible for procedure implementation for ISO systems
Control the ongoing repair and period maintenance budgets in line with the fiscal plan
Determines shift to shift staffing to ensure equipment maintenance and project loading is sufficient
Work with MRO supplier to ensure critical spares are available when needed
Work one on one with equipment rebuilders, rigging, and transportation companies
Ensure staffing has all necessary safety training
Foster an environment of creativity, participative leadership, mutual respect for all employees within the department and an environment that nurtures a team approach to getting things done
Responsible for performance management, coaching, and preparing corrective action for employees and liaises appropriately with HR and other support functions
Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs

Proficient in industrial wiring, PLCs, electrical, mechanical, equipment maintenance, pneumatics, and technical work
Working knowledge and interpretation of engineering drawings and specs to develop maintenance procedures
Skilled in LOTO (Lock out tag out) procedures
Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills required
Effective organizational and time management skills including priority setting and handle multiple projects at a time
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the job
Ability to adjust to operational needs as they arise. Ability to work under pressure and able to make sound decisions
High level of attention to detail and compliance oriented with regulations, policies and procedures including safety
Strong team player, results orientated, dedication to excellence and sense of urgency to achieve business objectives
Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization and vendors
Working knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word; MS Project is a plus
An understanding of the AFE, Requisition, Purchase Order, and tracking process
Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity on the job
Competency Experience:
9+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment
3+ years of leadership/managerial experience
Education/Certification
High school diploma or GED
Technical licenses, Vocational training, and/or Associate degree required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
People Management: Yes
