The Maintenance Manager is a key leader within the facility, responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, production continuity, and operational excellence. This role directs maintenance activities across manufacturing, processing, filling, transfer equipment, and support systems while driving the site’s Reliability Excellence Program. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of maintenance employees, strengthen performance through coaching, development, and communication, and protect the facility’s assets through proactive maintenance strategies. This position is critical to supporting a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment and plays a direct role in safety, quality, uptime, and cost control.
Job Duties
Direct and oversee all maintenance operations to ensure timely, efficient response to equipment and facility needs.
Lead Reliability Excellence initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and operational excellence activities.
Manage the training, development, performance, and corrective action for maintenance employees.
Maintain required documentation, maintenance records, and compliance standards.
Partner closely with Operations to review production, maintenance, quality, and eAM reports to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
Implement and support company safety policies, promoting a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
Oversee capital projects and maintain the annual maintenance operating budget.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate priorities, bridge gaps, and reinforce BMS (Business Management System) principles.
Ensure consistent implementation of maintenance procedures, operational policies, and best practices.
Support facility needs with occasional weekend or off-hours availability; up to 15% travel required.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
5+ years of Maintenance Manager experience within a manufacturing plant—supervising, leading teams, or managing technicians.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance, Engineering, Science, Business, or Computer Science.
Industrial, electrical, or welding certification or licensure.
Formal training or experience with continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Transactional Lean).
Experience managing engineering or maintenance projects in an industrial setting.
Prior experience using timekeeping or maintenance management systems (eAM, CMMS, etc.).
