Job Title
Registered Nurse - RN PACU (Full Time)
Shift Monday‑Friday, variable day shift with assigned late days. No holidays, nights, or call.
Responsibilities
PACU nurses are responsible for overseeing vital signs, changing bandages, and administering necessary medications.
Educating families and patients about home‑care instructions.
Managing respiratory instability and cardiac monitoring activities.
Assessing patient’s condition after surgery to ensure all vital signs are within range.
Accurately and completely recording all findings in patient chart.
Developing individualized care plans based on patient’s condition.
Monitoring patient’s condition changes and reporting to healthcare team.
Performing intervention duties in the case of post‑operative emergencies.
Recording sedation levels and body temperatures.
Ensuring the post‑operative space is clean and sanitized.
Performing other duties as requested.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current RN license.
BLS and ACLS required.
PALS preferred.
Minimum of one year experience in PACU or critical care equivalent area.
