General Overview The Shipping/Receiving Clerk coordinates the day-to-day operations of incoming and outgoing shipments, including domestic and international logistics. Ensures accurate documentation, timely processing and compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Shipping Duties

Prepares customer orders for shipment both domestically and internationally

Works with Sales and Trade Compliance Teams on order releases

Communicates shipment status with Customer Service Team

Prioritizes daily shipments

Transacts shipments in ERP system

Generates shipping labels

Ensures all export documents are in order, including compliance with international shipping regulations, export controls and customs requirements

Schedules pickups with customer carriers

Tracks shipments and resolves delivery issues or delays

Organizes shipping area

Receiving Duties

Receives incoming shipments, including inspection of all material, entry of all required transactions in ERP, following of prioritization protocol and FIFO guidelines for inbound material, communication of receipt issues to appropriate personnel and transportation of materials to appropriate locations

Verifies all documentation is present and performs 3‑way match of quantities received with purchase order and packing slip

Records and reports discrepancies or damages to the appropriate departments

Inventory and Documentation

Maintains accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions

Assists with cycle counts and inventory audits

Ensures proper documentation is filed and retained for compliance and audit purposes

Communication and Coordination

Collaborates with Purchasing, Customer Service, Trade Compliance, Stockroom and Warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment

Communicates with international vendors and freight forwarders regarding shipment status and documentation

Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not supervise other employees.

Qualifications/Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience

High school diploma or GED and 2‑5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred

Knowledge of import and export requirements is preferred

Ability to obtain forklift certification

Ability to use hand tools and mechanical equipment

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel

Experience in utilizing an ERP system for purchase order receipt processing

Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment

Experience with production work order and out‑plant processing is highly preferred

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Knowledge of 7S methodology

Experience or training in lean methodologies is highly preferred

U.S. Person for access to ITAR‑Controlled Technical Data. ITAR regulations dictate that information and material pertaining to defense and military related technologies may only be shared with U.S. Persons unless authorization from the Department of State is received or a special exemption is used.

Salary Range $37,200.00‑$49,600.00

Pay Transparency The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
