Subcontracts Administrator
– Jacobs Base Pay Range

As a Subcontract Administrator for Advanced Manufacturing, you will be responsible for contracting standard to complex professional and/or construction services. You may act as lead on small projects (total installed cost $50M or less) while using best practices and knowledge of requirements to solve basic problems and handle day‑to‑day subcontracting tasks with minimal guidance. Leverage your passion and experience as you effectively and professionally conduct and coordinate procurement transactions associated with subcontracting of services as assigned. You will demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles, and practices, and the techniques of ensuring task completion. You completely understand the role of procurement and its integration with other project functions, accomplish value‑added expectations, and perform assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Subcontract Administrator reports directly to the Director of Supply Management, Advanced Manufacturing (AM). While supporting Jacobs’ projects, you will also report indirectly to the assigned Project Procurement Manager (PPM), Project Manager, or Construction Manager. What You’ll Do
Preparation of Request for Proposal packages Issuance and administration of bid packages throughout the bid cycle Coordinate and host prebid meetings with bidders and project team members Receipt and review of proposals Tabulation of proposals Coordinate clarification meetings with bidders and project team Prepare commercial bid evaluations Negotiate terms and conditions with bidders and coordinate final negotiations with legal department Route requisition for award documents to project team for approvals Draft award subcontract documents and issue to successful bidder Coordinate pre‑award meetings Manage subcontractor invoices Manage change orders Mitigate subcontractor risk and assist with any claims or disputes Subcontract close‑out activities What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, or operations management, or equivalent project experience 5+ years of experience in construction contracting 2–5 years of experience in biopharmaceutical/life‑science manufacturing or data center projects is preferred Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong teamwork Ability to work and thrive in a fast‑paced environment Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills A drive to solve complex and challenging problems Benefits
