Our Opportunity Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking for a dynamic leader as we continue to grow! The Plant Manager directs manufacturing operations for all lines of business throughout the plant. They will enhance productivity and efficiency while fostering a culture of high employee owner engagement, continuous improvement, and safety. They will also drive operational excellence through quality and productivity improvements, ensuring safety and compliance and supporting Wildeck’s growth.

Your Responsibilities

Oversee all day‑to‑day plant operations and ensure production plans meet quality standards and delivery schedules.

Partner with engineering and sales to resolve any scheduling conflicts and/or quality issues.

Monitor key performance indicators to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

Lead, mentor, and develop the operations leadership team to foster a culture of employee ownership, high performance, accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork across operations.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and other regulatory requirements and industry standards. Champion a strong safety culture throughout the plant.

Implement cost savings through active participation in continuous improvement throughout the plant, improving processes and standards.

Provide input to and operationalize strategies around initiatives to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across the plant, including evaluating and implementing new technologies and automation strategies, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.

Seven years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience with a minimum of five years in a leadership role managing large teams of production employees, preferably within the material handling industry and/or durable goods manufacturing.

Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Experience implementing operational strategies and driving process improvements.

Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Excellent communication and decision‑making skills.

Experience with MSOffice, ERP systems and manufacturing software tools.

Physical Requirements include: twisting, turning, grasping, reaching, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally. Operates a computer and other office equipment (copier/printer). Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. The employee in this position must wear OSHA approved safety shoes with metatarsal guards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
