Custodial Supervisor (2nd shift) – OFMD

Schedule: 40 hours per week.
Position Summary Supervises the daily routine of custodial employees assigned to the area, assigns schedules/routes, and addresses coverage problems. Serves as the working lead to ensure all job tasks are completed daily; observes work performance, both in quality and quantity; identifies training needs; and advises the custodial manager.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as Team Leader for safety, discussing and providing proper PPE to custodial staff.
Conducts regular team meetings.
Canvasses all areas daily, conducting spot checks for thoroughness and quality.
Supervises and trains custodial workers on tasks such as general cleaning, stripping and waxing floors, buffing floors, extracting carpets, and reporting progress to the manager.
Performs custodial inspections to ensure quality of work in the assigned area.
Performs building inspections to ensure overall quality (cleanliness, cosmetics, repairs, etc.).
Compiles a weekly list of supplies needed.
Orders and distributes cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
Ensures all keys and pagers are checked in and out in accordance with department procedures.
Learn and apply knowledge of schedules, procedures, and use of equipment and supplies used in custodial work.
Works with the supervisor on staffing, paperwork, scheduling issues, and monthly quality assurance inspections.
Communicates effectively at all levels, both orally and in writing.
Instructs assigned personnel on the proper execution of their responsibilities.
Assigns and reviews the work of direct‑report custodial staff.
Works independently with little supervision.
Assists the manager with continuous training for current employees.
Acts as a manager in the absence of a manager.
Attends leadership training courses as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $45,600.00 – $75,300.00 per year.
