An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) with Med-Surg experience to join a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital located in Mount Pleasant, SC. This contract position offers 36 hours per week working three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), with every other weekend required and holiday rotations as part of the schedule. Nurses will float across medical-surgical units at two locations within the hospital system, supporting varying nurse-to-patient ratios depending on assignment. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license Minimum of 2 years nursing experience; first-time float nurses considered Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Willingness to float to various med-surg floors Ability to work night shifts and meet weekend and holiday rotation requirements Manager approval required for any block scheduling accommodations Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care on med-surg units within a teaching, Magnet-designated hospital environment Adapt care to units fluctuating patient acuity and staff ratios Utilize EPIC electronic health records for charting and documentation Follow hospital protocols related to patient safety and emergency response, especially during hurricane season Location Highlights: Situated in scenic Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, this historic and vibrant town offers a welcoming coastal atmosphere with proximity to beaches, parks, and cultural amenities.
