Manufacturing Supervisor
Location: Lansing, Michigan Shift: 1st
The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. This role leads production employees, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising daily manufacturing operations and production staff
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and company standards
- Meeting production schedules, labor targets, and efficiency goals
- Coaching, training, and developing hourly employees
- Troubleshooting production and quality issues
- Tracking and reporting production metrics and documentation
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 35 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 13 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work assigned shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP a plus)
