An opportunity is available for an experienced MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse in Pittsford, NY, with a focus on cardiac and stroke patient care. This contract position offers a 3x12-hour day shift schedule (7:00 AM 7:00 PM) at a well-equipped facility utilizing Epic for charting and supporting advanced patient care technologies. Responsibilities include interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, providing peripheral line care, and employing non-invasive airway management techniques. The role requires collaboration with Rapid Response Teams and adherence to isolation precautions. The nurse will float between Medical-Surgical, ICU, and Emergency Department units as needed, supporting patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. Nurses work alongside PCTs who monitor vital signs, blood glucose, EKGs, and assist with daily living activities, as well as an in-house phlebotomy team handling lab draws. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum of one year of RN experience; first-time contract nurses are welcome. Current BLS certification. Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias. Skilled in the use of oxygen delivery systems including nasal cannula and portable tanks. Comfortable with peripheral and central line management. Experience with Epic electronic medical records preferred. Flexibility to float within MS, ICU, and ED units. Must be available for every other weekend shifts. No local candidates within 75 miles accepted; pending licenses are not accepted.
