Key Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse with solid medical-surgical background Proficient in telemetry rhythm interpretation and vital sign monitoring Experience with PICC line, vas catheter, and temporary catheter removals Certification in BLS and ACLS required Excellent assessment skills and detail-oriented approach Strong communication abilities, flexibility, dependability, and the capacity to multitask in fast-paced settings Location Details:The assignment is located near Alexandria, LA, a city steeped in history and culture. Alexandria offers a charming blend of small-town warmth and modern conveniences, with numerous parks, cultural attractions, and recreational activities. Being in central Louisiana, it provides easy access to the outdoors alongside a community-driven lifestyle. Responsibilities: Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a telemetry unit equipped with state-of-the-art monitors and mobile technology Perform hourly rounding, bedside shift reports, and maintain My Care Boards to enhance patient experience Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, floating as needed to support other units Document all care activities accurately within the Meditech system Adhere to hospital policies, hygiene standards, and scheduling requirements including 12-hour shifts and holiday rotations Unit Highlights: Pathways to Excellence certified unit with high employee engagement and quality recognition Certified Stroke and Chest Pain Center, as well as a Level II Trauma Center nearby Experienced nursing staff with advanced technology including iMobile devices and Dynamaps integrated with electronic medical records Self-scheduling options available within guidelines This role is a contract position, offering the chance to work within a respected medical community known for excellent teamwork, accountability, and patient safety.
