Role Description | Staff Accountant – Property Management & Residential Construction
This role supports accounting functions for property management and residential construction operations.
Responsibilities
Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entries.
Support accounts payable/receivable and reconcile accounts.
Track property budgets, rental income, and tenant charges.
Manage job cost accounting for construction projects.
Assist with monthly closings and financial reporting.
Completing bank reconciliations.
Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
1–3 years of experience (property management or construction preferred).
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel. Experience with AppFolio, Yardi, ECI preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Location This is an “in‑person” position in the Knoxville, TN office, 37934.
