What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Accept projects with defined due dates based on your availability and employer needs
Conduct comprehensive searches for relevant prior art and provide a complete search history
Prepare written opinions applying relevant prior art to patent disclosures
Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and proprietary technical publications
Ensure compliance with the employer's Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field
1+ years of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field
1+ years of work experience in the industry or advanced research in a related field
Must pass USPTO background check and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
U.S. citizen or work‑eligible legal resident who has resided in the U.S. for the last two years
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Previous patent examining or patent searching experience
Highly skilled in developing search methodologies and conducting searches
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Experience with patent searching tools such as Orbit, PatBase, Google Scholar, or PatSeer
Master’s degree or PhD is a plus
