Who We Are Looking For Reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, the Revenue Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day management and data analysis of 33%-50% of the company’s properties on the Veritec revenue management platform including rate management and setting of discounts and specials. Additionally, the Revenue Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact with Regional Managers and Regional Directors, and properties regarding rate management topics, continuously building knowledge and expertise in rate management and the Veritec platform. The Revenue Specialist will also assist with all stages of property onboarding regarding rates and the continuous development of all elements of the Veritec program.

Primary Functions
Take on day to day responsibility of over 50 properties already on the Veritec platform
Remain aware of all properties within the Veritec platform
Manage rates of each property, on average, once per week. This average includes some locations that are reviewed daily and others that are reviewed bi-weekly. Frequency is determined by location category (Red/Yellow/Green) and various other factors
Regularly analyze multiple data points and effectively utilize data to make decisions associated with rate changes
Sporadically complete manual competitor shops via phone for your properties
Lead existing customer rate increases monthly at your properties
Engage with Property and Operational Supervisory team to onboard locations, manage daily rates and set discounts/specials
Communicate regularly with Property and Operational Supervisory team to maintain awareness of property specific knowledge
Engage with clients in response to questions and attend Regional Manager owner meetings as needed to deliver comments on rate management matters
Lead monthly meetings with your properties Regional Managers
Lead quarterly property team training on a predetermined rate management topic

Other Responsibilities
Assist Director of Revenue Management with onboarding of new properties at each of the three stages of onboarding (Competition, Value Pricing, Tenant Rates)
Assist Director of Revenue Management in continuous development of the Veritec program, including further development of web rates, discounts, auction units, expansions, etc.
Attend weekly Core Team Connect meeting
Attend bi-weekly Revenue Management meeting
Periodic travel, when necessary, to onboard locations and effectively manage their rates
Quarterly travel to meet with Revenue Management team
Semi-annual travel for operations meeting
This role is remote, but candidate must be located in one of our current states of operation: AL, AR, FL, GA, IL, KS, KY, LA, MO, MS, NC, OH, SC, TN, VA

The ability to travel away from home for up to one week at a time, as requested

The ability to stand for extended periods of time, including but not limited to 8 hours at a time
The ability to walk for extended periods of time
The ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment
The ability to communicate, converse with and express information in person, by phone and through other technology
The ability to maintain a regular and punctual schedule
The ability to be a self-starter
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or an analytical field, preferred but not required
2+ years of rate management experience or experience in a related field, highly preferred
Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft programs, with an proficiency in Excel is required
