Role: HR Generalist
Location: Nashville TN or Milwaukee WI (Hybrid 3-4 days/week)
Duration: 6 month
Role & Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all federal, state/provincial and local employment laws and regulations across the organization.
Conduct audits of employee files to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Manage and coordinate immigration-related tasks including documentation tracking and communication with employees and external partners.
Review and prepare Crayon employee files as part of the integration process, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with company standards.
Lead the finalization and implementation of the Canadian employee handbook incorporating best practices and legal requirements.
Support P&C with employee relations issues by providing guidance, support and, where possible, resolution in a fair and consistent manner. Liaison and hand off to the P&C Business Partner for complex cases.
Collaborate with the broader People & Culture team to support organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and continuous process improvement.
Participate in training and development initiatives to promote compliance and foster a positive inclusive workplace culture.
Support additional HR projects and initiatives as needed.
What we need to see from you Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field desired; HR certification (e.g. SHRM‑SCP, SPHR) preferred.
HR experience with significant expertise in an HR Generalist role supporting multiple locations or countries, including knowledge of US and Canadian employment practices, is required.
Preference will be given to those candidates with a very strong understanding of tech services, software licensing, cloud services and/or SaaS-based industries.
Proven experience operating in a complex matrixed global organization. M&A experience preferred.
Exceptional communication skills required along with being a self‑starter and ability to work independently.
Experience with HR analytics and data‑driven insights.
Nice-to-Have Background in tech services, cloud/SaaS environments or software licensing.
M&A integration experience.
