Job Summary
Network Engineer – Mid (Contract). The role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise networks in Huntsville, Alabama. Candidates must hold a current Final Top Secret clearance and be willing to work on‑site.
Core Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze enterprise networks and devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, encryptors, and related components.
Provide expert technical guidance and support to the Government, Project Lead, and other Network Analysts.
Maintain awareness of trends and best practices related to network technology and recommend improvements.
Use the Enterprise Network Monitoring Platform to provide data, documentation, and analysis of network performance.
Act as the first point of contact to resolve networking problems and provide professional customer service in all interactions.
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of networking experience specializing in Cisco switches and routers within enterprise networks.
6+ years of SD‑WAN experience at the enterprise level.
Hands‑on routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Current Final Top Secret (TS) clearance, SCI eligible, and willingness to take a Counter‑Intelligence (CI) polygraph.
Strong analytical skills, scripting (Python), network automation, and packet capture.
Technical Skills
Network configuration, Cisco switches, routers, WAN, CCNP/CCNA, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, forwarding security, encryption technologies.
Network monitoring tools: SolarWinds, Riverbed, Wireshark, Micro Focus Network Automation, etc.
Security tools: IDS/IPS, firewall, access control lists.
Automation, scripting, and network performance analytics.
