About the Role
We are seeking a motivated
Associate Attorney
with experience in
estate planning and probate
to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values work-life balance, and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service.
The Associate Attorney will handle a mix of estate planning, probate, and related matters, working closely with Lisa and our paralegal team. You’ll have the opportunity to engage directly with clients, manage cases from start to finish, and contribute to ongoing process improvements within a well-structured and supportive firm.
Work Schedule & Location
This is a
hybrid position
based in Colorado.
During the first 90 days (onboarding period), you’ll be expected to work
onsite 4–5 days per week.
After onboarding, you’ll work
in-office as needed
for client or team meetings.
Typical schedule:
8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (phones live 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
Mondays and Fridays:
Hybrid days – team meetings in the morning, client meetings in the afternoon.
Tuesday–Thursday:
Primarily client meetings.
Friday:
Flex day with fewer client meetings.
Lisa works a true hybrid schedule and encourages autonomy and balance across the team.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters from intake through resolution.
Review and finalize estate planning and trust documents drafted by paralegals, ensuring legal accuracy and alignment with client goals.
Conduct draft review meetings with clients to walk through estate planning documents prior to signing meetings.
Handle initial client consultations, assess legal needs, and provide clear, strategic recommendations.
Guide clients through the probate and estate administration process with compassion and professionalism.
Attend client meetings (in-person and virtual) and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the representation.
Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure smooth case progression.
Contribute to firm initiatives related to process improvement, client experience, and team development.
Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethics.
Qualifications
Required:
3-5 years of legal experience as a practicing attorney
Prior experience in estate planning is
not required . Related experience in business transactional law, real estate law, or a clerkship in probate may also be considered.
Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex matters with precision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and solutions-oriented.
Strong client service mindset with the ability to build trust and rapport.
Collaborative team player with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Base salary:
Starting rate at $100,000 and could be higher depending on experience.
Health benefits:
50% reimbursement of premiums for medical, dental, and/or vision (up to $500/month).
Retirement:
401(k) and Roth 401(k) with
safe harbor match
(100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2%—totaling 4% if you contribute 5%).
Paid Time Off:
4 weeks of PTO (includes vacation and sick time).
9 paid holidays per year (New Year’s Day, MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
