The Information Technology (IT) Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting ALSC's information technology infrastructure.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical support to users through phone, remote desktop, and email support.
Install and maintain end-user computer systems.
Support end-user hardware and software systems.
Train users on hardware and software usage and policies.
Troubleshoot network connectivity, printers, hardware, and laptops, email problems, MS Office, and basic Active Directory and DNS issues.
Collaborate with IT team members, units, and departments to address IT issues.
All other assignments as required by the Supervisor
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work
Excellent communication ability
Able to adapt to evolving technologies
Strong problem-solving skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification as an IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
2 years or more experience in computer networks and systems maintenance
Basic understanding of Active Directory Users, OUs, and Groups
