Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.
Job Duties
Provide assistance to Bureau of General Counsel staff and staff attorney with case preparation.
Reviews all cases assigned to the attorneys and prepares appropriate legal pleadings, obtains signatures on various forms, and documents pertinent data.
Attends court and assists the attorneys when requested.
Assists the CSE Manager and CSE Supervisors with clerical support.
Composes and compiles various reports as needed and requested.
Supervises the Administrative Coordinator 3's and approves time and attendance.
Ensures employees are properly trained and provides assistance and/or guidance on an as needed basis.
Functions as the primary time administrator for the office.
Performs other duties as assigned for the smooth operation of the Department.
Position-Specific Details Appointment Type:
This position may be filled as a probationary appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probationary appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Work Schedule:
Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
Work Location:
This vacancy is located in the New Orleans Region in the Orleans Parish Child Support Enforcement Office in New Orleans, LA.
