As a Scrum Master in the RPS Tech Engineering Organization, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to modernize retirement services technology through innovative API solutions and next‑generation recordkeeping systems. Leading SCRUM teams within a SAFe Agile environment, you will directly contribute to transforming the retirement experience for millions of participants while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. You will lead teams aligned with the following disciplines:
The Scrum Master leads one or more dedicated Agile teams to deliver customer and business value using Agile and Lean principles. This role enables teams to become effective and high‑performing by fostering collaboration, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement. As a change agent with an experimentation and growth mindset, the Scrum Master helps the organization embrace agility and scale practices effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Reviews, Retrospectives)
Coach teams on Agile principles and practices
Remove impediments impacting delivery
Drive continuous improvement using metrics and feedback loops
Collaborate with Product Owners, RTEs, and Program Managers for alignment
What you have Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field
3+ years in Agile delivery roles (Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar)
Strong knowledge of SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Hands on experience with Agile tools (Jira, Rally, Confluence)
Optimizes Agile methods and adjusts strategies with team input
Facilitation of large meetings and workshops
Delivery excellence with proven track record of successful releases
Builds trust and fosters team development
Technical aptitude to collaborate with engineering and program teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with Product Owners and leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Agile environments with large‑scale enterprise programs
Experience in financial services or regulated industries
Advanced knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and ability to coach teams on best practices
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A‑CSM); Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) is a plus
Scaled Agile certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)
Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and removing impediments for multiple teams in a scaled environment
PMII‑ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
ICAgilee Certified Professional (ICP) tracks (e.g., ICP‑ACC for coaching)
