Configuration Analyst - 26226 (HII)
Join HII’s Mission Technologies division to support the U.S. Army Cargo Helicopters Program Management (PM) Office in Huntsville, Alabama. The role requires full‑time effort, a SECRET security clearance, and on‑site support at Redstone Arsenal.
Base Pay $68,814 – $120,000 per year
Responsibilities
Provide configuration and data management support to the program management office.
Assist with analysis and recommendations for contract development across departments such as Logistics, Technical, Fleet Management, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
Review Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS) to ensure technical, programmatic, and financial accuracy.
Help develop Contract Requirement Packages (CRP), including Contract Deliverable Requirement Lists (CDRL), Document Summary Lists (DSL), and Ozone Depleting Compound (ODC) certifications.
Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and contract data submittals for FMS, Block I, Modernization, and other Fleet Management Contracts.
Prepare briefings for Program Management Reviews (PMR), design reviews, and staff calls.
Process, review, and recommend approval/disapproval of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Requests for Variance (RFV), and Configuration Management (CM) plans.
Participate in Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) at production contractor or subcontractor facilities.
Review technical data packages for accuracy and compliance with engineering standards.
Interface with CH‑47F program contractors to provide guidance on CM issues and monitor risks and contractual compliance.
Communicate written and orally with CH‑47 PMO internal organizations, functional teams, external government agencies, and contractors to provide CM/DM guidance, program alternatives, and courses of action.
Assist in oversight of contractor CM programs.
Minimum Qualifications
6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree; or High School Diploma with 10 years relevant experience.
Experienced with configuration management, CDRLs, ECPs, CCBs, RFVs, specifications, contracts, and engineering drawings (experience not limited to the aviation community).
Ability to provide onsite support at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama.
Support travel requirements up to 10%.
Active SECRET security clearance.
Preferred Requirements
9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 11 years with an associate’s degree; or High School Diploma with 13 years relevant experience.
Bachelor’s or greater in Business, Management, Logistics, Acquisitions, or Engineering.
Experience and interest in aviation configuration management and DoD aviation maintenance.
Experience with TopVue, Windchill, or other configuration database tracking software.
Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience a plus.
