Senior Accountant
A healthcare company in Los Angeles is in need of a senior accountant. The company is committed to providing exceptional services across its four operating units: an assisted living facility, skilled nursing facility, medical office building, and retreat house. We are seeking an experienced and driven senior accountant to support our financial operations and ensure precision in all accounting processes. This is a great opportunity for a skilled financial professional to play a key role in a growing organization.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date billing for four operating units
Overseeing the processing of invoices and accurate billing to clients and customers
Performing regular reconciliations of bank statements with company records
Reconciling accounts and closing books monthly
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Providing management with insightful financial analyses and reports
Coordinating with external auditors by providing requested documentation and explanations
Tracking company assets, managing depreciation schedules, and ensuring accurate reporting of property, plant, and equipment
Staying informed about industry trends, changes in accounting regulations, and best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field
Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent are highly desirable
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a corporate environment
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle Financials)
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
Solid understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
