Accountant
This role is a key member of the water accounting team, responsible for collaborating with water subsidiaries and the parent company’s Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams. The accountant ensures the production of high-quality internal and external financial reports.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with water subsidiaries and the parent company’s Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams.
Prepare monthly journal entries and manage intercompany transactions.
Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Engage in year-end reconciliation processes.
Utilize Excel for data analysis, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.
Participate actively in month-end close processes, handling 55-65 journal entries.
Essential Skills
2-3 years of accounting experience.
Proficient in SAP, including SAP S4 Hana.
Strong skills in Excel, particularly Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.
Initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
Personable and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
High attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with year-end reconciliation is a plus.
Any additional SAP certifications or training.
Advanced Excel skills are advantageous.
Work Environment The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with two days in the office (including Tuesday) and one flexible day, while the remaining three days are work-from-home. Weekends may be required for month-end close and late hours.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $38.46 - $48.07/hr. Eligibility requirements apply.
