Nanjemoy Baptist Church Pastor
We are a Southern Baptist Church, established in 1793, affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, Baptist Convention of MD/DE, and Potomac Baptist Association. Currently seeking a Full Time or Bi-vocational Pastor with no less than 5-10 years pastoral/leadership experience preferred; minimum Bachelor’s and Seminary Degree also preferred; heart for the Great Commission; leading the lost to Christ and nurturing the saved; Servant/Spiritual leader; able to reside in a rural community more or less bound by the Nanjemoy Creek and Potomac River, approximately 40 miles south of Washington, DC. Housing (parsonage), utilities, retirement and health benefits provided.
Uphold with integrity the doctrines, constitution, and by-laws of Nanjemoy Baptist Church.
Uphold the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, affirm the inerrancy of Scripture, and lead the church in missions and outreach.
Meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
Preach and teach the whole counsel of God’s Word with conviction and clarity.
Participate in efforts to grow the church through outreach, evangelism, and discipleship.
Provide pastoral care: visitation, counseling, funerals, weddings, etc.
Oversee the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Work alongside deacons and church leadership.

Crossroads Associate Campus Pastor The Campus Associate Pastor embraces the mission, vision and values of Crossroads Church and leads a campus under the direction of the Campus Pastor in all aspects of church life. His call to ministry is affirmed by the authentic life change in the community of believers influenced by their leadership through faith in Jesus Christ.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reproduce Culture – Embrace and replicate Crossroads’ culture at the campus level. Hold self, staff and volunteers accountable through attitudes and interactions. Welcome feedback from the Campus Pastor and Senior Pastor regarding culture concerns and make adjustments as directed.
Provide Pastoral Care and Discipleship – Provide pastoral care including hospital visits, weddings, funerals, crisis response, and spiritual guidance. Ensure systems are in place for ongoing spiritual formation through groups, classes, and mentoring.
Lead and Teach at Worship Services – Serve as the pastoral presence at the campus’ weekly worship services. Prepare sermons that align with Crossroads’ doctrine and fit into the sermon series as scheduled. Willingly receive coaching in order to develop a preaching style that aligns with the church’s culture. Deliver compelling, biblically-grounded sermons on a regular rotation. Maintain theological accuracy while communicating biblical concepts in accessible ways. Participate in teaching cohort meetings and contribute to creative worship experiences.
Develop Campus Staff – Oversee the orientation and ongoing professional development of campus staff. Manage staff and provide performance feedback in accordance with the evaluation process. Oversee time-tracking and stewarding of budget in support of campus pastor. Collaborate with other pastoral staff to ensure cohesive ministry vision.
Direct Volunteer Leaders – Cultivate volunteer leadership by identifying potential leaders, recruiting individuals for service, ensuring necessary training and resources, and offering ongoing coaching and support.
Implement New Initiatives – Foster an environment where staff feels encouraged to propose new ministry ideas to reach the campus community. Successfully implement approved ministry initiatives at the campus level. Manage projects by leading, delegating, and fostering productivity.
Oversee Campus Operations – In collaboration with the Campus Pastor and Central services, ensure campus operations including facilities, hospitality, security, and Sunday readiness are excellent and sustainable.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor Degree required, and Seminary Degree or in pursuit, strongly preferred.
Experience: At least five years of Christian ministry experience which includes (1) evidence of the ability to lead people into an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ as well as shepherd and disciple new believers toward spiritual maturity, and (2) considerable, successful experience leading staff or volunteers and working on peer-based teams.
Demonstrated ability to equip, empower, manage and encourage others while also holding them accountable to completing their job duties. Demonstrates spiritual gifts; Candidate should rate high in the spiritual gifting areas of: pastor/shepherd, leadership, discernment, exhortation and teaching.
Experience in a multi-staff church environment is preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time, with regular evening and weekend availability for services, events, and pastoral care.
Availability required for occasional special events, meetings, and trainings.

Children’s Pastor / Children’s Ministry Director The Children’s Pastor or Children’s Ministry Director leads a vibrant and engaging ministry for children from birth through 6th grade. This role partners with families to nurture lifelong faith in Jesus Christ through age-appropriate teaching, relational discipleship, dynamic outreach, and meaningful acts of service within the local community. With a strong emphasis on outreach ministry, creative worship experiences, and family-centered events this leader helps children and families take next steps toward connection, growth, and service in Christ. This role is a key contributor to the broader mission of Grace Life, working collaboratively with church staff and ministries to foster unity across generations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINISTRY LEADERSHIP & WEEKLY ENVIRONMENTS:
Lead all aspects of Sunday and midweek children’s ministry, including early childhood, elementary, and preteen environments.
Design and lead a high-energy, age-appropriate Kids Church worship experience that helps children encounter God through music, Scripture, media, and interaction.
Ensure a safe, welcoming, and spiritually rich experience for all children.
VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT & DEVELOPMENT:
Identify, train, and support a growing team of volunteers who serve in children’s ministry.

Create consistent engagement opportunities with families—in the church, in the childcare, and in the community—to build relationships, trust, and partnership in discipleship.
Provide tools and resources for parents as the primary disciplers in the home.
SAFETY, SYSTEMS, & COMMUNICATION:
Ensure safety policies and background checks are updated and strictly followed.
Maintain excellent communication with parents and volunteers through regular emails, social media, and in‑person interactions.
Manage ministry budget and track attendance and engagement data to guide future planning.
CHURCH INTEGRATION & TEAM COLLABORATION:
