Job Summary
METROPOLITAN STATE HOSPITAL – Located in Norwalk, Los Angeles County. This position is a limited term for 12 months. The position may be terminated at any time or may become permanent at a later date.
Scope of Work / Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Supervisor I‑Training Manager or designee, the incumbent will assess the complex and sensitive training needs of MSH and assist in the development of a comprehensive training plan to address the needs based on the goals and objectives of the Department of State Hospitals. Incumbents perform work of average difficulty in a wide variety of consultative and analytical staff services assignments such as program evaluation and planning; systems development; training; and personnel analysis; assistance in coordinating and maintaining the hospital's training programs; organizing new training and monitoring state compliance and identified DSH‑required trainings; and providing technical services including audio‑visual support to maintain the mission of the Training Office.
May be required to work weekends and light statewide travel.
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) Requirements A statement of qualifications is required. Your SOQ should be 12 pt. Arial font, single‑spaced, clearly labeled, and no more than one page in length.
Training Analysts often work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and various stakeholders. Describe a time you had to collaborate with a difficult SME to extract necessary information for a training program, and how you managed the relationship.
Detail your experience coordinating and/or delivering training sessions. Describe a challenging training situation you faced (e.g., reluctant participants, technical difficulties) and how you resolved the issue.
