We are seeking a high-performing Tax Associate to join our U.S. Tax Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex high-value domestic and cross-border transactions alongside market-leading partners and multidisciplinary deal teams.
You will play an integral role in structuring and executing sophisticated transactions advising clients on strategic tax considerations and managing key components of matters with increasing independence. This position is ideal for attorneys who enjoy technical depth fast-paced deal environments and exposure to a wide variety of industries and transaction types.
Key Responsibilities
Domestic and cross-border mergers acquisitions restructurings buyouts joint ventures and strategic alliances
Private equity and hedge fund transactions
Real estate and REIT taxation
Complex capital markets transactions including structured notes
Bankruptcy and workout matters
Structured finance and securitization
Lending and project finance transactions
Tax matters for start-up and early-stage companies
You will be expected to manage discrete aspects of transactions independently, collaborate closely with corporate finance and restructuring teams and contribute to high-quality client deliverables.
What Were Looking For You are a driven detail-oriented attorney with:
3 5 years of significant experience in mergers & acquisitions private equity and other strategic transactions
Experience in a broad-based federal transactional tax practice
The ability to independently manage components of complex transactions
Strong analytical drafting and communication skills
A proactive mindset and a collaborative working style
Active membership in the New York Bar or California Bar
