We are seeking an experienced

Kosher Chef

to oversee daily meal production in a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of

kosher dietary laws

and hands‑on experience working in a

kosher‑certified kitchen . This role requires strong culinary skills, excellent organization, and the ability to manage food ordering and guide kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

Prepare and oversee all meals in accordance with

kosher dietary laws , ensuring proper separation of meat, dairy, and pareve items.

Maintain kosher compliance in

food storage, labeling, equipment handling, and kitchen setup .

Work collaboratively with the

mashgiach / rabbinical supervisor

and follow all kosher requirements.

Order food and supplies

based on menu needs, inventory levels, and kosher certification standards.

Ensure all purchased food items meet

kosher requirements .

Train and support cooks on kosher food handling, recipe preparation, and consistency.

Assist with menu updates, including texture‑modified diets when needed.

Maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality standards at all times.

Provide hands‑on cooking coverage when needed.

Communicate effectively with dietary staff, supervisors, and facility administration.

Qualifications

Prior experience working in a

kosher kitchen

(required).

Strong knowledge of

kashrut , kosher food purchasing, equipment separation, and kitchen workflow.

Excellent cooking skills, preferably in a healthcare or high‑volume environment.

Experience with

food ordering, inventory, and vendor communication .

Ability to train and guide kitchen staff.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
