Job Responsibilities

Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and design personalized therapy plans to help them reach their functional objectives

Implement Therapeutic Practices: Employ evidence-based methods to enhance patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily activities

Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work in synergy with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to provide comprehensive and integrated care

Guide Patients and Caregivers: Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques to promote continued progress at home

Track and Document Progress: Monitor clinical developments and adjust treatment approaches as necessary, ensuring that patients are on the right path

Education Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Continuing education and certifications beyond the entry level are encouraged and supported

Required Certifications

Current

Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)

license

NBCOT

(National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is essential
