This full-semester contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) who are ready to support diverse K-12 student populations. The assignments are located in Madison, Alabama, serving two elementary and secondary schools near Athens, AL, with cases ranging from early childhood to high school students.

Two maternity leave positions are available:

Leave Position 1

Location: Johnson Elementary School

Duration: January 12, 2026, to March 27, 2026

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 3:00 pm

Holidays during assignment: January 19, February 16, March 12-20

Caseload: 50-55 students, including kindergarten through 5th grade

Caseload Details: Case management and direct service provision, including an 04 LRE Autism classroom

Leave Position 2

Location: Sugar Creek Elementary and West Limestone High School

Duration: March 23, 2026, to May 21, 2026

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 3:00 pm

Caseload: 50-55 students, 3rd grade through 12th grade

Caseload Details: Case management and direct service provision, including 04 LRE Autism and 04 LRE multi-needs classrooms

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized speech and language therapy to assigned caseload

Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Collaborate with educators, parents, and related services personnel

Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations

Participate in scheduled meetings and professional development activities

Qualifications:

Valid SLP certification and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required

Experience working with diverse caseloads including Autism and multi-needs students preferred

Strong organizational and communication skills

Familiarity with school-based therapy standards and documentation practices
