Position Title: Clinical Counselor
Work Location: Kern County
Compensation: $7,294.00 - $10,378.00 per Month
Responsibilities
Work under the general direction of the Sr. Psychologist, supervising psychiatric social worker I.
Apply counseling interventions and psychotherapeutic techniques within the scope of applicable Business and Professions Code and license.
Provide incarcerated individuals with mental health and preventative skills and behaviors developed for wellness.
Work preventatively with the incarcerated population including those not in the mental health delivery system to provide patient access, outreach, and prevention wellness strategies.
Qualifications
Possession of a valid Associate Clinical Counselor license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
Must pass the Clinical Counselor examination.
Minimum qualifications verified prior to interview/appointment.
Relevant education and experience as required by the classification specification.
